Throughout his life journey Dean has worked as a HR manager, hospital executive, consultant, minister, business founder, CEO and Company Director. He has experienced significant successes and some very painful failures. He has fortunately survived two life-threatening illnesses and learned much about suffering, positive focused thinking and healing. A lifelong thread running through Dean’s work has been a deep interest in spirituality and contemplative practise.

Dean’s experience includes Chief Executive Officer for Churches of Christ in Queensland from 2010-2017: one of Australia’s largest community services organisations with an income of $260M p.a and 5000 staff and registered volunteers providing seniors care, child, youth & family care, social housing and support for local churches.

For 15 years prior to this, Dean co-founded, built and led a company providing strategic HR advice and outsourcing services to organisational leaders around Australia and internationally; and before this he was a member of the executive team of Epworth Healthcare for 10 years.

Dean has served as Chair of the Council for Churches of Christ in Australia, President of the Vic/Tas Conference, and Chair of the Aged Care Board for Community Care. He has served as a Director of the overseas aid organisation, Global Mission Partners, and an independent non-executive Director for a number of SME for-profit organisations.
